Ms. Alka Kesarwani,
 

Alka Kesarwani, an ex-student of City Montesorry School, Station Road Branch, Lucknow; brought laurels to the Kesarwani Samaj & city of Lucknow by securing the First Rank at All India level in the entrance exam of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT-2008).

She is a very bright student and secured a high aggregate percentage of 92.25% in ISC 2008 (Class 12). She appeared for the NIFT exam on 10 February 2008 where she was tested for the General Aptitude Test (GAT) followed by Creative Aptitude Test (CAT). Upon successful qualification of this test, she went for the situation test on 12 April, 2008. Her time management skills applied in studies led her to this top position. Alka will be joining the B.FTech course at NIFT, Gandhi Nagar, Gujrat in July 2008 and would like to be the top jewellery designer.

She is also a talented artist and has won coveted prizes at various levels. She won the first prize in an Art Competition organized by Hindustan Times and World Bank. Her painting featured in the World Bank Calendar. She has also won the first prize in Companion Flag Poster Making Contest organised by CMS Editorial Department in collaboration with Mr Scott Wyatt of USA, a 3rd prize in the Poster Making Contest organized in the International World Peace Festival amongst many others.

She has also been an anchor in ETV Uttar Pradesh for a 40 episodes in a programme that interviewed eminent personalities.
