Tijia devi. He married to Smt. Jamnotri Gupta on 05 February 1967. He is blessed
with 02 sons & 01 daughter.
His educational qualification is B.A., LL.B. Educated at Kanpur University and Lucknow
University (Uttar Pradesh)
He is manufacturer of Shyam Bhidi, Owner of
Hotel Kanha Shyam, Civil Lines Allahabad.
He served as Mayor, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) from 1989-1993.
He lost to Saroj Dube(JD) in 1991 while contesting for BJP for member of Parliament
from Allahabad. Secured 28.38% votes.
Lost to Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi (BJP) in 1998 while contesting for SP for member
of Parliament from Allahabad. Secured 33.22% votes. Elected Member of Fourteenth
Lok Sabha from Banda (Uttar Pradesh) For Samajwadi Party (SP) in 2004.
He is also member of Committee on Finance & Consultative Committee, Ministry of
Commerce and Industry
